Moray East Offshore Windfarm Project Oct 2018 – December 2020
A 950 mega-watt capacity offshore windfarm project located in the outer Moray Firth in the North East of Scotland. 100 Turbines will provide enough clean energy to power 950,000 homes throughout the UK.
RGPMS assigned full programme responsibility for the offshore substation contract package for Siemens Energy. Scope comprised of 3 Offshore platforms (OSPs) as part of the overall scheme. Fabrication of the Platform structures was delivered by Smulders in Antwerp, Belgium where RG PMS Ltd supported the project team throughout delivery.
Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Project Sept 2018 – Oct 2020
Located approximately 13km from the Caithness coast, NE Scotland, Beatrice is an 588MW, 84 Turbine offshore wind farm project with capacity to supply electricity to power 450,00 homes.
Responsibility for the Jacket fabrication programme of works for the overall scheme. Again, our client was Siemens Energy. These Jackets were fabricated by subcontractor BiFab at their Fife yard in Scotland. A challenging package where intense focus on programme delivery and reporting was required to all levels of management stakeholders.
Caithness, Moray Shetland (CMS) HVDC Project – Scottish Southern Electric – June 2014 – Sept 2018
A 1,200 megawatt capacity HVDC light power transmission link project that will connect the electricity grid on either side of the Moray Firth in northern Scotland and enable integration of significant amounts of renewable energy into the Scottish grid.
Planning support function for ABB Sscope of contract for onshore cable route and Caithness and Moray and also 2 HVDC Converter stations at Spittal and Blackhillock
Western HVDC Link National Grid / Scottish Power – Feb 2012 – June 2014
A joint £1bn venture power project between National Grid and Scottish Power to help bring renewable energy from Scotland to homes and businesses in Wales and England. www.westernhvdclink.co.uk.
Consortium lead with full responsibility of the overall lifecycle programme from tender through to full project completion for Siemens Energy. Overall governance of full programme suite including all contractor and supplier chain programme delivery.
